“… the company continues to keep business going in order to fulfill customers’ fingerprint scanning needs, with remote staff continuing to act in a customer support role.”
While the COVID-19 pandemic has caused all kinds of disruption across society, SecuGen is still processing orders and shipping its biometric products through its distribution network, the company has announced.
In a brief statement, the Santa Clara-based fingerprint biometrics specialist indicated that, like many other businesses, it has transitioned its employees to remote work setups in order to minimize social contact and mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus. The company also said it is “following all government orders and health recommendations.”
Nevertheless, the company continues to keep business going in order to fulfill customers’ fingerprint scanning needs, with remote staff continuing to act in a customer support role.
The messaging comes two weeks after SecuGen’s publication of a three-step guide on how to properly clean its fingerprint reading devices. The surface of a SecuGen fingerprint reader can be cleaned with a standard glass cleaner and/or wiped down with a damp cloth, with SecuGen urging administrators to follow that up with a disinfectant in order to guard against COVID-19 pathogens.
Through these continued efforts, SecuGen seeks to ensure continued use of its fingerprint biometrics products along with the appropriate sanitation measures.
