SecuGen will be on hand at next week’s Connect:ID Conference to showcase its Hamster Pro 45 fingerprint reader, the company has announced.
The Hamster Pro 45 is a two-finger and rolled finger reader with FAP 45 certification. It also adheres to the FBI’s Appendix F standard, and the company is targeting the device primarily at the law enforcement and government markets.
“We have been expanding our product line at an ever-increasing rate,” said SecuGen CEO Won Lee. “With the Hamster Pro 45, we are providing partners with the means to enter growing new markets. We have always focused on being responsive to our partner’s needs. The Hamster Pro 45 is the latest result.”
At Connect:ID, SecuGen will demonstrate the reader at its booth along with the U45 sensor, which powers the biometric scanning of the device. The company plans to release the sensor as its own standalone product for companies looking to integrate FAP 45 certified fingerprint scanning into other fingerprint readers.
SecuGen first unveiled its Hamster Pro 45 and U45 at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, but Connect:ID offers attendees another opportunity for an early look at the devices ahead of their release in the second half of this year.
