SecuGen to Showcase Compact Sensor Solutions at 2018 GSX

SecuGen is planning to show off what it says is the world’s thinnest FBI FAP 10 certified optical fingerprint sensor at the 2018 Global Security Exchange in Las Vegas next week, the company has announced.

First announced at the start of this year, the U10 is a mere 12mm thin, and is compatible with SKD’s that SecuGen has created for Android, Linux, and Windows. It also powers the Hamster Pro 10, an extremely compact fingerprint reader that hit the market earlier this year.

In a statement announcing SecuGen’s plans to showcase the solution at 2018 GSX, the company emphasized that the U10’s compactness enables its integration into a wide range of devices, from industrial equipment to laptops to ATMs. SecuGen also noted that its Hamster Pro 10 is compatible with Windows Hello, Windows 10’s biometric authentication platform, right out of the box.

SecuGen will be highlighting these solutions alongside its newly announced Unity Bluetooth fingerprint reader and the U20-ASF-BT OEM Bluetooth sensor that powers it. Unveiled last week, these devices aren’t yet available; but SecuGen could be able to build anticipation for them among 2018 GSX attendees while also leveraging excitement about the new products into further interest in the U10 and Hamster Pro 10 in the meantime.

2018 GSX will run from September 25th to September 27th, with SecuGen slated to show off its solutions from booth #2983 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
