SecuGen is going to show off a new fingerprint sensor at next month’s CES 2017. The company will have its UN20 Bluetooth device on display at booth 21647.
As its name suggests, the sensor features Bluetooth connectivity. It’s also FIPS 201 PIV/FAP 20 certified, and runs on a customizable Linux system, standard features of SecuGen’s Unity BDP product line.
In a statement announcing the device, SecuGen emphasized that it’s “intended as an easily embedded fingerprint solution where high quality, rugged design, and affordability are key factors.” VP of Engineering Dan Riley added that a Bluetooth-compatible solution has been requested repeatedly from the company’s OEM partners.
CES 2017 runs from January 5th to 8th in Las Vegas.
