SecuGen to Showcase Upgraded Biometric Fingerprint Reader at ISC West

ISC West is this week, presenting SecuGen with another opportunity to show off its Unity 20 bluetooth-enabled fingerprint reader.

The device was first unveiled just ahead of this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, and showcased again at last month’s RSA security conference. It features SecuGen’s U20-A fingerprint sensor, enabling a highly compact form factor; and it adds Bluetooth connectivity to the mix, allowing for wireless communications with other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Also important is the solution’s customizability, supported by a Linux development environment.

Now, the Unity 20 has been upgraded to offer compatibility with Apple’s iOS mobile operating system – functionality that SecuGen representatives will be showcasing during ISC West.

In a statement announcing the company’s plans for ISC West, SecuGen’s Engineering VP Dan Riley commended his development team for enhancing the Unity 20 solution since its launch. “Our engineering has done a great job implementing the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) protocol for compatibility with Apple’s iOS devices,” he said, adding later, “Not only is it well engineered and versatile, the affordable Unity 20 Bluetooth fingerprint reader is also a beautiful product.”

The ISC West exhibition floor is open from April 10th to 12, with SecuGen showcasing from booth 15136 at the Sands Expo convention center.
