“The solution enables users of Citrix’s XenApp and XenDesktop applications to authenticate for a secure Citrix ICA session using a SecuGen fingerprint reader connected to their device. “
SecuGen-powered biometric authentication has come to Citrix: The former has announced its new solution, the SecuGen SDK Plugin for Citrix.
SecuGen VP Jeff Brown hinted that something like this was on the way in an interview with FindBiometrics earlier this year. The solution enables users of Citrix’s XenApp and XenDesktop applications to authenticate for a secure Citrix ICA session using a SecuGen fingerprint reader connected to their device. The reader can operate with biometric apps that support the APIs in SecuGen FDx SDK Pro for Windows, and the solution supports up to two users without a license fee.
The SecuGen SDK Plugin for Citrix arrives at a time of growing interest in biometric authentication in the enterprise. And its announcement comes not long after SecuGen’s announcement of the Hamster Pro 10, its newest fingerprint reader, at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
The solution is available immediately, with SecuGen inviting interested customers to contact a SecuGen sales representative or reach out to the company directly via email.
