Rx Safes has a launched a new product expanding the range of its healthcare solution. Called RxSafeEHR, its a portable electronic health records (EHR) management device with a built-in fingerprint scanner.
At the moment, Rx Safes is best known for its medication storage devices featuring biometric locks, but that could change with its shift into EHR solutions. Rx SafeEHR lets healthcare providers send important records to patients, and to retrieve them, with transmission regulated via biometric security—only the patients themselves and other authorized personnel can authorize the sending and retrieval of this sensitive data. Moreover, the system is compliant with the Health Information Privacy and Portability Act (HIPPA), which could help to enhance its appeal to healthcare providers looking for better ways to manage their digital patient records.
In a statement announcing the new product, Rx Safes CEO Lorraine Yarde suggested that it could be particularly valuable in bridging the “huge data gap between healthcare services such as emergency room visits and the follow up care that a patient receives with specialists or family physicians.”
The new product launch may also offer an opportunity for Rx Safes’ newly-appointed sales and marketing executives to expand the brand’s reach and build relationships with new clients and distributors.
