Facial recognition and computer vision specialist Rank One Computing (ROC) has announced the launch of Facial LiveScanv2.0, a flexible and scalable solution with presentation attack and liveness detection capabilities.
In addition to supporting presentation attack and liveness detection, Facial LiveScanv2.0 is compliant with ISO and ICAO standards, ensuring its ability to support government-issued document verification, travel processes, and enterprise KYC requirements.
A key feature of the upgraded solution is the ISO/IEC 30107-3 Level 1 certified facial liveness and anti-spoofing method, which uses a patented single-frame, passive liveness mechanism that allows it to achieve 99 percent spoof detection accuracy, significantly reducing the instances of identity fraud for any unattended facial verification systems.
In announcing the improved accuracy of the 2.0 ROC SDK in the NIST FRVT Ongoing benchmark evaluation earlier this year, ROC CEO Scott Swann commented that the “accuracy of this algorithm is representative of how powerful ROC’s face recognition has become on diverse imagery, with accuracy measured on persons from around the world,” adding, “With these substantial error rate reductions, ROC’s AI/ML SDK 2.0 has effectively reached parity with the highest ranked FRVT performers”.
LiveScan2.0 is available as either as a no-code, browser-based workflow or as a native Android application, and is delivered in ROC SDK v2.3 with image quality validation as well as an updated LiveScan API that supports any system architecture.
