ROC has appointed Sachin Ratta as Special Advisor for Partnerships to spearhead business development and strategic partnerships in India and Southeast Asia. The move is part of ROC’s strategic expansion into rapidly digitizing markets where biometric authentication is becoming increasingly central to both public and private sector services.
Ratta brings over 15 years of experience in biometrics and digital payments, with extensive knowledge of the FinTech, government, and enterprise sectors. In this role, he will focus on expanding ROC’s presence in a region that has emerged as a global leader in digital identity innovation.
The company’s expansion into India is particularly strategic given the country’s mature digital identity ecosystem, anchored by Aadhaar, the world’s largest biometric ID program, and a thriving fintech industry. According to NIST rankings cited by ROC, the company leads globally in combined accuracy and efficiency in face recognition, and combined accuracy and efficiency in fingerprint recognition; and it has the most accurate palm print algorithm in the West.
“I’m eager to support ROC in this strategic role and help bring their world-class biometric solutions to India and the surrounding region,” said Ratta. “With ROC’s standards-compliant innovations and principled approach to AI, we can make a significant impact in digital identity, national eID, and digital payments across these rapidly evolving markets.”
