Fingerprint Cards technology is being used in another of Xiaomi’s Redmi devices. The company has announced that the Redmi Note 5A features an FPC1035 sensor.
It’s the same sensor model used in various other devices in Xiaomi’s Redmi line, including the Redmi 4, the Redmi 4 Pro, and the Redmi Note 4X. Xiaomi has also been an enthusiastic FPC client with respect to devices outside of its Redmi lineup, most recently the Xiaomi 5X.
The Redmi Note 5A went on sale in China this week. It’s available in two version, Standard Edition and High Edition, with only the latter featuring a fingerprint sensor, located on the back of the device.
Other features of the premium version of the device include a 435 octa-core microprocessor and Adreno 505 GPU, a 16MP wide-angle camera, and a 5.5″ HD display.
