RealSense has introduced the ID Pro, a next-generation facial authentication module targeting access control, kiosks, ATMs, point-of-sale, time-and-attendance, and identity verification deployments, with two named integration partners and a set of hardware improvements over its predecessor platform.
The product was announced at ISC West 2026 in Las Vegas, where RealSense exhibited at Booth 20137 in the Digital Trust and Identity Pavilion. RealSense, which spun out of Intel as an independent company in 2025 with $50 million in early-stage funding, is bringing the ID Pro to market as the first major product of its independent roadmap.
The ID Pro delivers authentication in under 250 milliseconds, approximately 70 percent faster than the prior F450 platform, and supports up to 10,000 on-device face templates per unit, a tenfold increase in capacity. Biometric accuracy is certified at 99.77 percent via NIST FRTE 1:1 Verification testing from December 2025. The product has also achieved iBeta Level 2 Presentation Attack Detection certification under ISO/IEC 30107-3 on its first attempt, with zero attack classification errors. No personally identifiable information is stored or transmitted; face templates are held on-device in an irreversible format.
A distinguishing capability of the ID Pro is what RealSense calls intent-aware access control: the module can detect a person rather than just a face, and classify body parts and estimate pose in real time without additional external software, enabling situational awareness alongside authentication. The system uses an active stereo depth sensor and a specialized neural network, functions across diverse skin tones and lighting conditions, and supports users between 120 and 190 centimeters tall at a working distance of 55 centimeters.
Dormakaba took a minority stake in RealSense last November to co-develop next-generation access solutions, and the company is a named launch partner for the ID Pro, developing intelligent access control integrations into doors and entry systems. Ones Technology has built its Vision 2 platform on the ID Pro module. David Fuller, Chief Innovation Officer at dormakaba, said the collaboration with RealSense accelerates the company’s next-generation access roadmap.
“This will be a breakout year for biometrics in access control, and RealSense is uniquely positioned to lead it,” said Nadav Orbach, CEO of RealSense. The ID Pro is available through store.realsenseai.com.
