Daon has announced two major executive changes made as part of its effort to pursue global expansion.
One change concerns an individual who was part of the core team that founded Daon. The company has promoted Conor White, formerly its President of Americas, to the position of President, New Industries, in which he will lead Daon’s global strategy and operations as it seeks to extend its reach to both new geographic markets and new verticals.
“Some of the most significant breakthroughs in Daon’s history have come from focusing on a new market,” explained Daon CEO Tom Grissen. “From when we first worked with the public sector over twenty years ago to our recent innovation in the travel sector with our VeriFLY solution, we’ve invested in both experienced leaders and world-class technology development.”
The other experienced leader involved in Daon’s executive realignment is Robert (“Bob”) Long, who will step in to fill White’s previous post as President of Americas. Long is already very familiar with the company, having served as SVP of Americas from 2015 until 2019, when he departed to become Member Access Processing’s Chief Revenue Officer.
“Daon is a market leader in its domain, and I am excited to rejoin the company at this critical stage of its growth curve – as it rapidly expands into new markets and verticals,” Long said. “I have continued to watch the company grow from the side lines after leaving in 2019, and now I have the opportunity again to help it grow further in the Americas.”
The executive change comes after Daon’s renowned IdentityX biometric authentication platform was integrated into the ForgeRock Identity Cloud and added to the AWS Marketplace near the end of 2022, extended the availability of Daon’s MFA solutions to a broader set of end users. Grissen, the company’s chief executive, hinted at those forthcoming partnerships in a prior interview with FindBiometrics.
