Prove, the digital identity verification company, is expanding its Ireland operations with more than $5 million in investment and plans to create 50 new roles, reinforcing Dublin’s standing as a central hub for the company’s global product development.
Prove established its Ireland presence in 2022 and has grown local headcount by 50 percent in the past six months. The Dublin team has contributed to a series of product launches over the past year, including Prove Unified Authentication, ProveX, Prove Verified Agent, and platform elements such as the Global Fraud Policy and the Prove Identity Graph, a system for verifying people, businesses, and AI agents at scale. New roles will span product, software engineering, research and development, and data science.
The expansion is supported by IDA Ireland, the government agency responsible for attracting and developing foreign direct investment. IDA Ireland has made digital identity and fintech infrastructure a priority area for inward investment, and Prove’s expansion reflects continued demand from global technology companies for Irish engineering talent.
“The growth of our Ireland team has been an important chapter in Prove’s journey. The talent we’ve found there brings deep technical expertise and a collaborative, innovative and dependable spirit that has led to an outsized impact at Prove,” said Laura Brittingham, Senior Vice President of People at Prove. “There is no version of Prove’s future that doesn’t include Ireland at its center.”
Ireland’s Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke welcomed the announcement. “This significant investment and the creation of 50 new high-value roles reflect great confidence in Ireland’s talented workforce and in our strong environment for RD&I,” Burke said.
Prove says its technology today supports thousands of enterprises globally, including 19 of the top 20 U.S. banks, with applications across banking, fintech, crypto, gaming, commerce, insurance, and healthcare. The company’s core offering centers on phone-based identity verification and authentication, linking verified identities to the devices and phone numbers associated with individual users.
Prove previously acquired Portabl to extend its verifiable credentials capabilities, and launched Prove Verified Agent to address identity trust in agentic commerce environments. The Ireland team played a direct role in both initiatives.
