The Prism Project has officially launched the latest entry in its line of Prism reports, this time focusing on the travel and hospitality sector. The Biometric Digital Identity Travel and Hospitality Report follows the Financial Services Prism Report launched earlier this year.
The Prism Project is an outgrowth from Acuity Market Intelligence, the renowned market analysis firm that has made its name publishing thorough, data-driven research and anticipating major trends and shifts such as the mobile biometrics revolution of the last decade. Its inaugural Biometric Digital Identity Prism Report last year offered a comprehensive look at the notable players in the biometrics and identity industry, mapping them across different vertical markets and offering detailed descriptions of each organization and its work.
This year, The Prism Project is following up with reports that zoom in on particular growth areas, with attention now shifting from the financial services sector to a travel and tourism sector that offers the potential for particularly explosive growth for vendors specializing in biometrics and related identity technologies. The new report highlights organizations like SITA, Indicio, and Wicket, the latter of which was designated as a Luminary thanks to its pioneering efforts in leveraging facial recognition for fast and seamless stadium access.
Maxine Most, who heads The Prism Project and serves as Acuity’s Principal Analyst, officially unveiled the Biometric Digital Identity Travel and Hospitality Report at this year’s Identity Week America event in Washington, D.C., where she delivered a presentation on the report and some of its initial findings from the stage of the show floor’s Seminar Theater.
Maxine discussed some of the findings from the Financial Services Prism Report and also offered a preview of the Travel and Hospitality report in an appearance on the ID Talk podcast earlier this year.
The new report will be followed soon by the Biometric Digital Identity Government Services Prism Report, currently scheduled for publication in October. In the meantime, the full Travel and Hospitality Prism Report can be accessed through The Prism Project’s website.
