“The Access600e completely eliminates the traditional tug-of-war between convenience and security, even in the most demanding, high-volume environments. Plus, with the Access600e, we’ve been able to lower the price for such premium performance.” – Bob McKee, VP, Sales and Marketing, Princeton Identity
Just a few weeks ahead of the ISC West security conference, Princeton Identity has announced a sophisticated new biometric terminal.
The IOM Access600e terminal supports both facial and iris recognition, and is designed to fit easily onto a tabletop or counter. It can scan users of a wide range of heights and process each biometric scan in less than two seconds, Princeton Identity says; and it can be integrated with fingerprint and badge readers, as well as passport scanners.
On that note, the new solution is designed to replace the previous Access500e biometric terminals, which saw a high-profile deployment at the Dubai International Airport last year. In addition to such border control deployments, the new terminals are also appropriate for applications in securing military bases and other sensitive security facilities, and for high-throughput applications such as stadiums, theme parks, cruise ships, and so on.
Commenting on the new offering in a statement, Princeton Identity Sales and Marketing VP Bob McKee said that the Access600e “completely eliminates the traditional tug-of-war between convenience and security, even in the most demanding, high-volume environments.” McKee added that Princeton has also “been able to lower the price for such premium performance” in the Access600e.
Princeton Identity will unveil its new device at ISC West, which is scheduled to run from April 10th to 12th in Las Vegas.
