Princeton Identity has been named the winner of the New Jersey Tech Council’s Outstanding Technology Development Company Award for 2016.
It’s a significant validation of the company fresh after its spinoff from biometric technology company SRI International. The NJ Tech Council is a nonprofit organizations whose members aim to support businesses and education in technology and life sciences; and in a statement announcing the award Princeton Identity CEO Mark Clifton noted that New Jersey is among the top five most innovative states according to the 2016 Bloomberg Innovation Index, “so we know we were up against very formidable competition.”
With its financial backing from Samsung Ventures, Princeton Identity is poised to leverage this industry recognition for a heightened market profile as it continues to work on biometric solutions with government and commercial applications.
The award itself will be bestowed to the company at the NJ Tech Council’s 20th annual Awards Celebration gala on November 17th.
