Predictmedix Safe Entry Station to Help Ensure Safety of Hockeyfest Event

Toronto-based workplace health technology company Predictmedix has announced that its Safe Entry Station solution will be deployed to help ensure that safety standards are met at this years Hockeyfest, an event developed in partnership between Juiceworks Exhibits (JUICEWORKS) and Jones Entertainment Group.

Hockeyfest — the largest street and pond hockey festival and tournament in the world — is scheduled to take place in nine North American cities including London (ON), Summerside (PEI), Edmonton (AB), Abbotsford (AB), Regina (SK), Ottawa (ON), Minneapolis (MN), and Winnipeg (MB), and will begin with a kick-off event on June 25th in London.

Predictmedix’s Safe Entry Station solution uses a proprietary AI algorithm designed by data scientists and disease specialists that allows for non-invasive screening for symptoms of infectious diseases like COVID-19.

For more than a year now the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we approach the logistics behind events where large groups of people congregate. In an effort to safely allow for such events, organizers have turned to health screening solutions such as Safe Entry to ensure that individuals who are potentially symptomatic with COVID are screened and flagged before entry is granted.

Safe Entry will be used by Hockeyfest to screen all players, staff, vendors, and visitors to help maintain the highest degree of safety. Organizers have also announced that they have been working closely with the Chief Medical Officer in the Middlesex-London health unit as well as London Mayor Ed Holder to establish a robust safety protocol for all involved.
