“We are very pleased of being able to recruit Ulrik as new CFO for Precise Biometrics. With his long experience and broad knowledge, Ulrik is the right person to contribute to the company’s continued development.” Stefan K. Persson, CEO, Precise Biometrics.
Precise Biometrics has a new Chief Financial Officer.
A graduate of the University of Reading’s Henley Business School, Ulrik Nilsson has attained the bulk of his finance experience with medical technology firm Gambro, where he served as head of Business Control from 2001 to 2007, and as VP of Finance from 2008 to 2013; and with Baxter, which acquired Gambro in 2013 and appointed Nilsson as its Finance Director. He departed the company this past June.
In a statement announcing his appointment to Precise Biometrics, the company’s CEO, Stefan K. Persson, lauded Nilsson’s “long experience and broad knowledge,” adding, “Ulrik is the right person to contribute to the company’s continued development.”
At Precise Biometrics, Nilsson replaces Göran Thuresson, who became the company’s CFO in the autumn of 2016, and announced he would return to an interim consultant role this past June.
Incidentally, Nilsson’s appointment has arrived in the same week that Fingerprint Cards, Precise Biometrics’ longtime hardware partner in mobile biometrics, announced it would get a new CFO of its own. That individual’s role will take effect October 1st, while Nilsson’s appointment at Precise Biometrics is effective immediately.
