“These new integrations mark some success for Precise Biometrics as the company seeks to diversify its portfolio of hardware partners amid the mobile biometrics market’s expansion.”
Precise Biometrics algorithm software has been integrated into multiple new devices from Taiwan-based OEMs, the company has announced.
Two of these are smartphone integrations implemented via Synaptics, which recently became a hardware partner of Precise Biometrics and has also incorporated the latter’s Precise BioMatch Mobile technology into a recent tablet device. The other new integration came about through hardware partner Elan Microelectronics, which entered into a licensing agreement with Precise Biometrics last year and has now brought Precise Biometrics technology to a new notebook.
In the cases of both the smartphone and notebook integrations, Precise Biometrics said in separate press releases that the devices are from “a leading Taiwanese vendor.” But the notebook may be of a particularly high profile, with Precise Biometrics CEO Håkan Persson asserting that his team is “very pleased” about the integration into “this flagship device, from one of the top 5 Notebook brands worldwide”.
These new integrations mark some success for Precise Biometrics as the company seeks to diversify its portfolio of hardware partners amid the mobile biometrics market’s expansion. The company says these integrations will begin producing royalty revenues in Q2.
