The approval from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) allows BioLive to be integrated into biometric scanners used for identity verification within the Aadhaar program. The news comes as India continues to strengthen security measures across its digital identity infrastructure.

BioLive’s anti-spoofing technology helps protect against presentation attacks during the biometric verification process, addressing previous security concerns that have emerged in the Aadhaar system. The solution will be implemented as part of the program’s ongoing efforts to enhance its technological capabilities.

The integration comes at a time when India is broadly expanding its use of biometric authentication across various sectors. Recently, SEBI proposed mandatory biometric authentication for trading accounts, demonstrating the country’s growing commitment to biometric security measures.

The UIDAI, which oversees the Aadhaar program, has been actively working to enhance the system’s security and efficiency. The organization has previously undertaken various initiatives to streamline processes while maintaining robust security standards.

The approval is expected to strengthen Precise Biometrics’ position in the Indian market and could lead to additional opportunities in other national ID programs globally. The company’s anti-spoofing technology will play a crucial role in protecting the integrity of biometric authentication for millions of Aadhaar users.
