Precise Biometrics has appointed Fredrik Krantz as chief revenue officer and added former Fingerprint Cards chief product officer Fredrik Ramberg to its executive management team, strengthening the commercial and product leadership of the combined biometric technology business.
Krantz joins at the end of September after serving as chief operating officer at authentication company Futurae. He previously held the position of senior vice president of sales, commercial, at Yubico. His background spans security technology, international sales and commercial operations.
Ramberg becomes chief product officer for Precise, with responsibility for product strategy and portfolio development. He held the equivalent role at Fingerprint Cards before the merger, bringing continuity from the sensor business into the combined company’s management.
The appointments follow the completion of the Fingerprint Cards merger in July. The statutory merger transferred Fingerprint Cards’ assets and liabilities into Precise and brought fingerprint sensors together with Precise’s biometric software and physical-access products.
Precise says the management changes are intended to accelerate commercialization and support profitable growth. The revised team combines Krantz’s revenue responsibilities with Ramberg’s product remit as the company develops the portfolio created by the transaction.
Joakim Nydemark remains chief executive. The executive management team also includes chief financial officer Maria Wester, chief marketing officer Fredrik André and research and development head Roger Pettersson. Krantz and Ramberg add dedicated revenue and product leadership to those existing functions.
The company has already begun expanding distribution for products in the combined portfolio. Its recent agreement with AqTronics covers India and Vietnam, giving the distributor a non-exclusive role in selling and supporting the AllKey fingerprint offering. The arrangement includes local sales support and supply-chain coordination for identity and access-control customers.
Krantz’s responsibilities include accelerating sales and extending global market presence. Ramberg’s remit includes developing new offerings within the combined portfolio.
Precise’s wider portfolio includes biometric algorithms, sensors, software-as-a-service products and visitor-management technology. Its products serve mobile devices and consumer electronics as well as physical and logical enterprise access and government identity programs. The company is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and headquartered in Lund, with offices in France, the United States, China, India, Japan and South Korea.
