“ISC East will also feature over 200 exhibitors, networking events, and educational sessions hosted by the SIA.”
The ISC East security industry convention is right around the corner, and organizers have now announced a big-name keynote speaker.
Ray Kelly, the renowned former Commissioner of the NYPD, will deliver an hour-long talk on his efforts to transform his department from a big-city police force to a counter-terror organization. According to a statement from the event organizers, the keynote is billed an opportunity for the ISC East audience to “gain new perspectives and arm them with the information to lead the security industry into the future.”
Announcing the keynote address, ISC Events Industry VP Sherida Sessa said Kelly “was instrumental in NYC’s recovery from 9/11 and changed the way public safety is handled today,” while Security Industry Association CEO Don Erickson said the audience will benefit from Kelly’s discussion of how the NYPD “effectively redefined its relationship with the private sector and helped to keep countless communities safe from violent crime and terrorist attacks.”
The speech should prove to be of particular interest to the hometown crowd, with ISC East to be held in NYC’s Javits Center; but security professionals from around the country and beyond will benefit, too, with 7,500 such individuals expected to attend the event. ISC East will also feature over 200 exhibitors, networking events, and educational sessions hosted by the SIA.
ISC East runs from November 15th to 16th, with Ray Kelly slated to deliver his address on the first day of the show, at 2:00pm.
