“Both pop-up enrollment centers will be open from February 11th to 22nd, with eligible travelers invited to make an appointment online. “
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has two new “pop-up” enrollment centers for the TSA PreCheck biometric expedited screening program for travelers.
One of the pop-ups will be in the Long Island MacArthur Airport in New York, located in its Law Enforcement Office. The other will be in the Lehigh Valley International Airport in Pennsylvania, in its Aviator Room.
Both pop-up enrollment centers will be open from February 11th to 22nd, with eligible travelers invited to make an appointment online.
In announcing the pop-up centers, the TSA did not explain the occasion for their opening. But in the past, the TSA’s PreCheck operating partner, IdentoGO, has opened temporary enrollment centers to accommodate heightened traveler volumes during busy travel seasons.
TSA PreCheck collects registrants’ biographic information and links it to their fingerprint biometrics, allowing them to proceed through expedited screening lanes at participating airports using a fingerprint scan. It entails an $85 application fee, with registration good for five years.
