Plurilock Sees Rapid Growth in Wake of DoD Contracts

Behavioral biometrics specialist Plurilock has entered into a rapid expansionary phase in the wake of its recent DoD contract.

The company has announced that it has opened new offices in Baltimore and New York. It has also appointed a new Director of Sales for the Atlantic Region, Neal Conlon, a former US Marine Corps engineer who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, and currently serves as a strategic partner with VC firm Serval Ventures.

In a statement announcing the expansion, Plurilock said it was driven in part by recent contracts with the Department of Defense, with the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental arm and the U.S. Army’s NETCOM trialing Plurilock’s behavioral tracking technology for authentication of personnel. Plurilock also credited the expansionary effort to contracts with “two new notable financial services clients”, which it declined to name.

The company said its expansion is also being funded by a recent funding round that saw contributions from Powerset CEO Barney Pell, Stanley Park Ventures general partner Mike Brenna, and Yaletown Partners special limited partner Colin Harris.

In addition to Plurilock’s new office expansions, the company has announced that its business reach is also extended via new partnerships with SAP Startup Focus, Microsoft Azure BizSpark, and an unnamed “Fortune 100 enterprise IT firm.”
