Parsons Corporation has been awarded a ten-year, $392 million single-award contract to provide biometrics and network engineering support to a federal customer. The company said the deal represents new work and will draw on its expertise across identity management, data integration, and defense technology systems.
The Chantilly, Virginia-based contractor has expanded its biometrics portfolio in recent years, securing multiple federal programs that combine physical and digital identity technologies. Parsons has delivered more than 3,500 mobile biometric systems for government and defense use, offering multimodal collection tools that capture fingerprints, facial images, and iris scans in real time to enhance verification and threat detection.
In 2025, the company was selected to modernize the U.S. Coast Guard’s Biometric Identification at Sea system under a five-year contract. The BASS 2.0 program introduced upgraded biometric hardware and real-time processing capabilities to support identity operations during maritime interdictions and rescue missions. Around the same time, the Air Force moved to sole-source Parsons’ Javelin+ biometric collection kits, citing technical advantages for field verification and interoperability.
Parsons’ technologies have also been deployed through the Navy’s Biometrically Enhanced Access Control (BEACH) system, which enables automated vetting of contractors and visitors aboard ships at foreign ports. The BEACH program integrates biometric capture with secure network access, reducing manual checks and improving situational awareness for deployed personnel.
The new $392 million contract underscores growing federal demand for secure identity infrastructure and advanced communications engineering. Parsons said the agreement will support mission-critical operations across defense and law enforcement, leveraging the company’s experience in both biometrics and network modernization to improve operational security and data resilience.
