Onfido is gearing up for a major appearance at this week’s Fintech Nexus event in New York City. Fintech Nexus is set to run from May 25-26 at the Javits Center, where Onfido will be setting up shop at booth #643.
Those who make the trip to that booth will be greeted by an entire team of Onfido experts, who will be treating guests to product demos and presentations that highlight various trends in the digital identity space. On both days, Onfido Global Fraud Head Michael Van Gestel will kick things off with a brief discussion about the current state of fraud before making some predictions for the future. Later in the day, Fraud VP Albert Roux will share some details about how businesses can prevent fraud in a digital environment.
After that, Onfido Strategic and Policy Manager Amy Shuart will take a look at the regulatory landscape surrounding digital identity, and highlight legislation that businesses should be prepared to comply with in the future. Finally, Roux will return with some tips for organizations that want to provide secure digital services on an international scale.
Onfido will be conducting live product demos in between its executive presentations. The day will also feature a client spotlight with HSBC, and wrap up with a demo of Onfido’s Smart Capture SDK solution. The SDK uses NFC technology to speed up the capture process, and comes with glare and blur prevention to deliver a more consistent user experience.
To help attract guests, Onfido will have a photographer on site who will be offering complimentary professional headshots to Fintech Nexus attendees. Onfido itself is best known for its onboarding technology, which combines face and document recognition to enable remote identity verification. The solution has proven to be popular in many different sectors, with Tesco, Moneytrans, and the Indian dating site Jeevansathi standing as some of Onfido’s most recent clients.
