NVIDIA CUDA Bolsters aiWARE OS’s Processing Capabilities for Biometric Data and More

Organizations using Veritone’s aiWARE operating system can now take full advantage of the power of the NVIDIA CUDA platform. aiWARE is an operating system designed specifically for AI and machine learning applications that makes it easier to process large amounts of text, video, and audio data.

Adding support for NVIDIA CUDA will further improve the performance of the aiWARE OS by allowing organizations to run those tasks on NVIDIA’s latest parallel processing GPUs. The support covers both on-premises and cloud deployments. In that regard, aiWARe is compatible with both the Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud solutions, and with the Azure N-series VMs and AWS EC2 P2 and P3 in particular.

According to Veritone, the upgrade will allow customers to process larger amounts of data more accurately and more quickly. The company highlighted potential applications of the technology in multiple industries, including energy and entertainment. It can also enable large-scale authentication systems (including those that support biometric modalities like face and voice recognition), extract data from an extensive smart city network, or translate, transcribe, and classify incoming calls to a contact center.
