NuData Security’s NuDetect behavioral biometrics platform has won a Judges’ Choice award in the 2016 Pay Awards. This was the tenth year of the Pay Awards, which are hosted by Paybefore, a news outlet covering the payments industry.
The award offers a strong validation of NuData’s platform, which protects clients’ online properties by analyzing online activity connected to them. It looks at a number of behavioral metrics including keystrokes and scrolling, scanning for subconscious patterns that can be used for identification; and it combines these factors with data such as IP addresses and so on to provide a risk analysis of users interacting with a given site or app. In this way, NuDetect can help flag the early warning signs of fraudulent activity – a benefit of particular value to those operating in the world of digital payments.
Commenting in a statement, Paybefore editor-in-chief Loraine DeBonis explained that in the Pay Awards, NuData was competing against “nominees from across the globe tackling payments problems with mastery and ingenuity,” adding that Paybefore is “proud to recognize NuData Security’s contributions to advancing electronic payments.” For NuData’s part, CEO Michel Giasson said the company is “honored to be the recipient of the Paybefore’s recognition of excellence, highlighting the industry values that we have to offer.”
