NuData Receives SC Media Award 30 Years in the Making

SC Media pulled out all of the stops for its 30^th Anniversary Awards celebration, adding a slew of special categories to its annual SC Media Awards. NuData Security became one of the major beneficiaries when its NuDetect behavioral biometrics platform was named the Most Critical Solution in the last 30 years.

“NuData has most assuredly earned this honor for its continued dedication to protecting enterprises from today’s sophisticated threats,” said SC Media’s Editorial VP Illena Armstrong.

The special awards were determined by SC Media’s editorial team, and were intended to honor those who have shaped the cybersecurity industry over the past three decades. Though NuData has won other awards in the past, the SC Media prize is particularly noteworthy because it recognizes the company’s impact and influence within the digital security space despite its relatively recent arrival.   

“The ability to detect bots, bad humans, and to determine if malware is active while a consumer is shopping has been crucial for cybersecurity,” said NuData Security CEO Michel Giasson. “This reinforces our belief that the best security doesn’t come from one bullet-proof layer but from the intelligent combination of various sophisticated layers.” 

Other SC Media winners include Nok Nok Labs, which took home the Editor’s Choice Award for 2019.
