Voice-driven AI specialist Nuance Communications has set a date for the publication of its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2020. The corporate update will be published after market close on Wednesday, November 18.
The company has seen a few important developments in the healthcare sector in particular during the quarter, which is Q4 of Nuance’s fiscal year. At the end of July, for example, Nuance announced that Cerner Corporation would expand its use of Nuance solutions to include its virtual voice assistant technology. Soon after that, Nuance announced a strategic partnership with MITRE aimed at enhancing the collection of data for oncology-related health records. And Nuance technology was used in a new virtual assistant from MEDITECH.
Nuance also won some acclaim from Opus Research during the quarter. The market research firm named the company a Leader in its Intelligent Authentication and Fraud Prevention Intelliview Report for 2020.
As for fiscal results, the quarterly report could offer some indication of how Nuance has continued to navigate the complex business landscape of the COVID age. Its Q3 report showed lower revenues ($338.4 million, compared to $377.4 million) against those of Q2 2020, but the company had also managed to rake in a GAAP net income of $16.7 million after facing a $0.7 million net loss in Q3 of 2019.
For its Q4 report, Nuance will issue a press release along with prepared remarks, and will host a conference call slated to begin at 5:00 p.m. ET. The call will be simultaneously broadcast online.
