NTT DOCOMO GLOBAL Expands Universal Wallet Infrastructure with Accenture and AWS Agent Verification

NTT DOCOMO GLOBAL is expanding its Universal Wallet Infrastructure in collaboration with Accenture and Amazon Web Services to support verification, governance, and auditability for AI-driven actions. The infrastructure is intended to authenticate and authorize interactions involving people, systems, and autonomous AI agents.

The expanded framework adds an agentic trust layer to Universal Wallet Infrastructure, using digital identity and verifiable credentials to support provenance, accountability, and policy-based control across enterprise workflows. NTT DOCOMO GLOBAL describes UWI as a foundation for issuing, verifying, and managing digital representations of people, organizations, assets, and AI agents.

The companies have also released a white paper describing reference architectures for trusted agentic AI. The material points to W3C verifiable credentials, software bills of materials, AI-specific bills of materials, and agent identity mechanisms as components for making agent actions traceable and auditable.

The architecture is designed to address a gap created by autonomous AI systems that can initiate tasks, interact with services, and make decisions across organizational boundaries. By binding those actions to verifiable credentials and auditable records, the companies are trying to create a governance layer for agent-to-agent and agent-to-system interactions.

NTT Docomo Business, a related NTT Group entity, recently developed a prototype AI agent registry designed to catalog and verify autonomous agents operating within enterprise networks. Several identity vendors have moved into the AI agent governance space in recent weeks, including SailPoint with its Agentic Fabric for non-human identity governance and Keycard with access controls for multi-agent applications.

Accenture is contributing consulting, delivery, and integration capabilities, while AWS is providing cloud and AI infrastructure for the reference architectures. The collaboration is focused on enterprise deployments where agent actions need to be verified, governed, and reviewed after execution.
