Nordic Bank Embraces Veridium Biometric Security for Sensitive Assets

Nordic bank Nordea is replacing passwords with biometric security for its internal assets, with Veridium announcing that the effort will revolved around its 4 Fingers TouchlessID and VeridiumAD solutions.

In a statement, Veridium explained that Nordea employees will use its fingerprint recognition technology to gain “high privileged access to confidential and secure data.” 4 Fingers TouchlessID is designed to capture the biometrics of four fingers simultaneously using only a standard mobile camera, while VeridiumAD is the platform’s integration component for Microsoft Active Directory.

The company said that Nordea’s internal security upgrade is “a critical first step” in a larger enterprise transformation, with Veridium CEO James Strickland stating, “We’re delighted Nordea has selected Veridium for their security and authentication needs and look forward to continuing this partnership.”

The deal comes after Veridium upgraded 4 Fingers TouchlessID with liveness detection and a fingerprint scan export feature last autumn.
