Precise Biometrics‘ annual general meeting is a couple of months away, but the company’s nomination committee is already offering some indication of what’s in store with some proposals for the board of directors.
In brief, the nomination committee is aiming for business as usual, proposing re-election of all current board members and the re-election of Torgny Hellström as Chairman. It’s also suggesting that fees remain unchanged, and that EY return as auditor.
The proposals suggest a certain degree of steady confidence in the company’s leadership, and perhaps also the need for restraint when it comes to risk-taking changes. While 2016 was the company’s best yet in terms of performance, in its year-end corporate update CEO Håkan Persson outlined certain market challenges that could exert pressures on the company in the first part of the year to come. That being the case, Precise Biometrics appears to be taking a ‘slow and steady’ approach, its recent acquisition of NexID aside.
Precise Biometrics’ AGM is scheduled for May 16th, and its nomination committee will again outline its proposals at that time.
