Nomidio has integrated Aculab’s VoiSentry voice recognition engine into its own cloud-based Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) platform. The partnership will allow Nomidio clients to verify the identities of their own customers with voice biometrics.
The multimodal Nomidio solution is designed as a remote authentication tool for web and call center channels. With VoiSentry, customers will be able to use the phrase “My voice is my password” to prove their identity to any organization that utilizes Nomidio’s identity service.
“Nomidio is the first of a new generation of cloud services that allow an individual to register their personal identity information just once, and then to identify themselves using their voice, consistently, across the multiple different businesses they interact with,” explained Aculab Business Development Manager Mark Bosworth.
Nomidio notes that COVID-19 has increased the demand for remote authentication technology. According to the company’s research, 3.5 million people in Great Britain have used a digital identity verification method for the first time during the pandemic.
Aculab launched VoiSentry back in 2018, and recently updated the platform to improve its liveness detection and speaker identification capabilities. Nomidio, meanwhile, is part of the Amazon Connect virtual contact service currently available through the AWS marketplace. The contact center specialist Avaya also offers Nomidio support.
