Maryland-based IT consultancy Strativia has won a $75 million contract to support the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s research activities.
In announcing the agreement, Strativia called it a “Scientific, Technical, and Engineering Support Services (STESS)” contract that will entail the provision of over a hundred Strativia personnel across a range of laboratory and academic environments, including NIST’s “Physics, Engineering, Materials, Information Technology, and Communication Technology Laboratories” and its “Centers for Nanoscale Science and Technology and Neutron Research”.
As for the work, it’s going to span a range of fields including critical infrastructure, environmental science, statistical modeling, IT for healthcare, and the development of biometric algorithms.
Strativia indicated that as part of its contract, it’s partnering with Dakota Consulting, another Maryland-based IT consultancy, which has established itself as a leading steward of the NIST’s STESS program over the last several year. The company did not offer a timeline for the its newly won contract.
