With the global healthcare biometrics market set to boom over the next 10 years, various companies are coming up with biometric solutions to solve several challenges faced by the healthcare industry.
Patient and provider identification company NextGate recently announced it will showcase the latest advancements in patient matching and cloud-based identity software solutions during the annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in Las Vegas.
“In the face of dramatic healthcare transformation and the pursuit of value based care, organizations must embrace new approaches to improve clinical, financial and operational outcomes. This includes the move to cloud-based solutions as a business imperative to cut costs and improve the quality of care,” said Andy Aroditis, CEO of NextGate.
As part of the HIMMS, which will have more than 42,000 attendees and 1,300 leading health IT vendors exhibiting, NextGate is set to discuss patient ID for population health, demo their facial recognition technology, and is set to preview major evolutions in biometric and cloud-based tech, including its integrated SaaS solution Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI), a fully managed identity matching platform in the cloud.
