NEXT Biometrics Signs Spanish Distributor

NEXT Biometrics has signed up a new regional distributor. Intuate S.L. will distribute the company’s biometric products in Spain under the brand name Intuate Biometrics.

It’s part of a larger strategy anticipating major business growth, according to NEXT CEO Tore Etholm-Idsoe. In a press release announcing the partnership, he explained that the company “will be launching market expanding sensor modules going forward and are in parallel building a strong network of high quality distributors around the world,” Intuate being “a part of this process”. Meanwhile, NEXT VP Radek Matyasek highlighted Intuate’s prominence in the industry, calling it “the most recognized biometric solution distributor in Spain.”

The company evidently does seem to have big plans underway. Recently it attracted the attention of a major Swedish investment firm wishing to purchase about $14.4 million USD in stocks, an investment that could help to catapult NEXT’s global efforts. The company also recently launched a range of new ultra-thin fingerprint sensors and entered into a partnership with ‘techcessories’ developer iWallet, which has already integrated a NEXT sensor into a new product.
