Tools for Humanity, a key contributor to the World Network co-founded by Alex Blania and Sam Altman, has established a strategic partnership with TOKYO BEAST FZCO to integrate World ID technology into the latter’s crypto-entertainment gaming platform. The move comes as World ID continues its global expansion and integration into various digital platforms.
The partnership focuses on implementing World ID, a digital proof-of-human system, into the TOKYO BEAST gaming environment. World ID technology enables users to prove their unique human identity anonymously through their mobile devices when accessing online services and applications. The system uses biometric authentication methods, including iris scanning and facial recognition, to verify human users while maintaining privacy.
“We are very pleased to have World ID integrated into TOKYO BEAST, an innovative Web3 game,” said Tomoe Makino, Tools for Humanity Japan General Manager. “World ID offers proof of human technology, which could prevent in-game botting and fraud and contribute to a healthy gaming community.”
The integration will provide specific benefits and incentives for World ID holders within the TOKYO BEAST platform. TOKYO BEAST will implement the World ID SDK for user verification, aiming to enhance security and prevent fraudulent activities within the gaming ecosystem. This implementation follows similar successful integrations with other platforms, including wearable technology companies that have adopted World ID’s verification system.
The collaboration includes joint marketing initiatives to promote World ID adoption and demonstrate its benefits within the gaming experience. Users who verify their identity through World ID will receive specific perks and rewards, with an incentive program planned for new World ID sign-ups through the TOKYO BEAST platform. This approach aligns with World’s recent strategic shift toward emphasizing identity verification technology over its cryptocurrency origins.
Future plans include continued enhancement of World ID integration, expanded joint marketing efforts, and ongoing development of user benefits for verified World ID holders. The partnership represents another step in World ID’s mission to create a secure and verifiable digital identity system across various digital platforms and services.
