Lithuania-based Neurotechnology has upgraded its line of SDKs, the company has announced. Improvements range from algorithm enhancements to added capabilities.
The company’s MegaMatcher 6.0 multimodal SDK, designed for large-scale applications, can now match up to 100 million fingerprints or faces and 200 million irises per second on only one server. Meanwhile, the company’s VeriLook 5.7, VeriEye 2.1, and VeriSpeak 3.0 sport better accuracy, with the advanced VeriLook face scanning SDK also featuring improved face liveness detection, faster face template extraction for video feeds, and enhanced age estimation capabilities.
Perhaps the greatest improvements are to the company’s VeriFinger 8.0 SDK, which is now faster and more accurate – to the point where it has become one of the first algorithms to pass the NIST’s Minutiae Interoperability Exhange (MINEX) III test with what the company says are “the most accurate results in the two finger category.” That means the SDK is now compliant with NIST SP 800-76-2 PIV specifications, as well as ANSI ICITS 378 standards.
The results build upon Neurotechnology’s past success in NIST MINEX testing, and help to bolster the company’s credibility in the field.
