Biometrics technology developer Neurotechnology has a new distributor: The company has announced an agreement with SecuEra Technologies. The deal will see SecuEra sell Neurotechnology’s complete line of products and offer custom integration and development services.
It’s a win-win for both companies, with Neurotechnology attaining a keen new distributor and SecuEra obtaining access to the former’s technology, which it can also use in its own products. In a statement announcing the deal, SecuEra CEO Gurpreet Manes explained that the deal will allows hic ompany to “not only not only resell Neurotechnology products, but also leverage their algorithms to enhance the accuracy and security of our own identity management products.”
The technologies covered in the agreement include Neurotechnology’s MegaMatcher, VeriFinger, VeriEye, and VeriSpeak SDKs, as well as its VeriLook SDK, which was recently upgraded under the new brand name SentiVeillance. That system supports advanced automated surveillance capabilities including the ability to differentiate between people and vehicles, track entry into restricted areas, and even detect signs of particular emotions in the faces it scans, providing opportunities for a range of potential applications. Finally, the agreement also covers SentiBotics, Neurotechnology’s robotics development kit.
Commenting on the new agreement, Neurotechnology Business Development Manager Antonello Mincone said it will “further strengthen our presence in the various biometric markets and prove to customers the quality of our products, especially in accuracy and speed.”
