Neurotechnology has integrated its latest VeriLook facial recognition algorithm into its SentiVeillance SDK.
As the name suggests, the SentiVeillance SDK is intended to offer sophisticated computer vision for surveillance and security purposes. Its technology can identify and track objects, vehicles, and pedestrians, and can trigger alerts when the enter or exit designated areas.
Now, with the VeriLook integration, it offers more powerful facial recognition. VeriLook was recently upgraded for Neurotechnology’s MegaMatcher SDK platform, version 9.0 of which was launched just a couple of months ago. Neurotechnology says it offers five times higher accuracy in identifying faces head-on, and that it’s between 10 and 15 times more accurate for unconstrained facial recognition.
In a statement announcing the integration, Neurotechnology researcher Ignas Namajunas explained, “Using state of the art technology, called deep neural networks, we were able to significantly improve facial recognition accuracy, especially for unconstrained scenarios.”
The integration of VeriLook into SentiVeillance 5.0 suggests that Neurotechnology has had a busy summer, with the company also having just announced an upgrade to its NCheck Bio Attendance time and attendance tracking system.
