Neurotechnology has added its palmprint recognition technology to its flagship MegaMatcher line of products. The solution was declared the fastest and most accurate palm recognition algorithm in a recent FVC-onGoing test, and will now be available to customers through MegaMatcher Accelerator and the MegaMatcher Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS).
“The new palmprint modality provides the fastest palmprint matching on the market and opens new possibilities for large scale multi-biometric systems with seamless integration of all supported biometrics – fingerprint, face, iris and palmprint,” said Denis Kacan, Neurotechnology’s Product Manager for MegaMatcher ABIS.
Through MegaMatcher, Neurotechnology’s palm recognition tech can be used on its own or in conjunction with those other biometric modalities. MegaMatcher ABIS is available as a cloud service and as software, while MegaMatcher Accelerator combines software and hardware to provide biometric identification on a large scale. Neurotechnology boasts that the MegaMatcher Accelerator Extended edition can process up to four million palm prints at a rate of two million prints per second.
This is the second major MegaMatcher update of 2019 after the launch of MegaMatcher 11 back in January. In addition to palmprints, Neurotechnology has also enhanced its facial recognition capabilities with an update to its SentiVeillance SDK.
