Biometric identification and object recognition specialist Neurotechnology has announced an update to its MegaMatcher ABIS turnkey biometric solution that includes a number of user experience improvements.
The update comes after Neurotechnology announced that its entire MegaMatcher product line had received an upgrade to all of its biometric algorithms at the beginning of 2021.
The new version of MegaMatcher ABIS — version 12.1 — includes a simplification of common workflows and a new identity management and deduplication experience, and provides users with greater overall control of their operations. The update also brings all of the upgrades to the biometric algorithms that came with the January update to the overall MegaMatcher product line, including liveness detection, improved recognition and accuracy for fingerprint, facial, and iris biometric modalities, and biometric matching and data quality assessment capabilities.
“At Neurotechnology we believe that reliability, efficiency and usability are the cornerstones of any biometric-based identity management solution,” said Denis Kacan, MegaMatcher ABIS product manager for Neurotechnology. “MegaMatcher ABIS has been used in many large projects around the world, and in working with customers and partners, we have gathered valuable feedback [and] incorporated this real-world, experiential knowledge into the major technological and usability improvements in version 12.1, enhancing the overall user experience of enrollment, identity management and deduplication as well as providing new administrative operations.”
The news of this update comes during what is shaping up to be a busy week for Neurotechnology following the announcement that it would be providing the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) with face, fingerprint, and iris recognition services via its ABIS suite to help the UIDAI with deduplication and the issuance of its Unique Identification Number (UID) relating to its massive Aadhaar system.
