Neurotechnology has combined its face, fingerprint, and voice biometrics capabilities into a single Software Development Kit, enabling the technology to be deployed into apps and used without the need for special biometric scanning equipment.
The new “MegaMatcher ID” solution integrates the biometric technologies under one product umbrella with a unified API. Its Voice Verification system enables text-independent voice recognition, while Face Verification and the fingerprint-reading Slap Verification systems enable contactless biometric scanning through a standard phone or computer camera.
The API enables onboarding, verification, and liveness checks, along with other capabilities including age estimation. The Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems are all supported.
“We are one of the very few companies to own multiple biometric recognition technologies, including fingerprint, face, and voice modalities, that are suitable for mobile devices,” said Neurotechnology’s Business Development Director, Antonello Mincone. “Within a unified product tailored for the digital ID domain, MegaMatcher ID combines the excellence of our latest contactless algorithms and decades of experience providing thousands of customers worldwide with versatile, reliable, open and well-supported software solutions for biometrics.”
Mincone discussed Neurotechnology’s biometric innovations in depth in an interview on the ID Talk podcast earlier this year, delving into the advantages of multimodality and the effectiveness of testing with the National Institute of Standards and Technology, among other things.
The company’s commitment to R&D-driven innovation was further demonstrated in August, when it announced the assessment of its fingerprint technology through NIST’s Evaluation of Latent Friction Ridge Technology (ELFT) testing program. Neurotechnology showed significant progress compared to previous NIST submissions, improving accuracy up to threefold. Earlier in the summer, Neurotechnology was a top performer in the 1:N track of NIST’s Face Recognition Technology Evaluation (FRTE) program.
The company is aiming its new MegaMatcher ID solution at a range of potential application areas, including online banking and government e-services.
