Lithuania-based biometrics specialist Neurotechnology has launched a new version of its time and attendance tracking system. NCheck Bio Attendance 3.1 offers fingerprint and facial modalities for employee identification.
It’s designed as a scalable, almost plug-and-play solution. Neurotechnology says the facial recognition component is compatible with common commercial web cameras and even smartphone cameras for selfie-based authentication, while the fingerprint modality works with “commonly available fingerprint scanners.” The system also enables the generation of searchable, detailed attendance reports, and can even be adapted for access control with option RFID integration.
Based on Neurotechnology’s MegaMatcher engine—now at version 9.0—NCheck offers even greater speed and accuracy in identification than the previous iteration, the company says. That could help to give it an advantage in a biometric attendance tracking market that is increasingly competitive as the technology continues to filter into mainstream deployments.
