“NEC is excited to demonstrate firsthand how our privacy-by-design approach, scalability, and proven reliability make us the right partner for airports and airlines looking to transform their operations and customer experiences with AI and biometric technology.” – Jason, Vice President, NEC Advanced Recognition Systems
NEC Corporation of America will be at next week’s Passenger Terminal Expo, taking the opportunity to showcase its biometric and digital identity solutions for air travel on the show floor.
A range of technological solutions will be showcased, including facial recognition, biometric boarding, object detection, digital identity, and advanced analytics.
The company is renowned in the air travel space for its NEC I:Delight platform, which has been embraced by SITA in its Smart Path solution for airports. Designed to facilitate seamless passenger processing throughout an airport, SITA Smart Path has been deployed at a number of airports including Miami International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport, with efforts now underway to roll out the technology in Frankfurt and Geneva in the months ahead.
All told, at present NEC-SITA solutions are currently in place at over 3,000 touch points across 16 airports.
“NEC is excited to demonstrate firsthand how our privacy-by-design approach, scalability, and proven reliability make us the right partner for airports and airlines looking to transform their operations and customer experiences with AI and biometric technology,” said NEC Advanced Recognition Systems VP Jason Van Sice, who participated in FindBiometrics’ Travel & Hospitality Virtual Identity Summit last spring.
NEC experts will be on hand at PTE 2023 to demonstrate the company’s “curb-to-pillow” solutions for the travel experience, with the event slated to run March 14 to 16. NEC will be showing off its tech from booth 2140 on the exhibition floor.
