“[The company’s Smart Enterprise platform] features NEC’s facial recognition technology, which allows retailers using it to analyze demographic qualities of their customers.”
NEC has been named the winner of the 2016 North America Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year Award.
The company won largely on the basis of its Smart Enterprise platform, a comprehensive communications package aimed at the enterprise sector. In addition to solutions pertaining to analytics, cloud UC, and networking, the platform features NEC’s facial recognition technology, which allows retailers using it to analyze demographic qualities of their customers.
In a statement announcing the award, Frost & Sullivan Principal Analyst Robert Arnold praised NEC Smart Enterprise for the breadth of its solutions, asserting that it “is designed to optimize enterprises’ business tasks and workflows with integrated voice, video, and data technologies across the communications, IT, and vertical solutions domains.” Arnold also emphasized that NEC tailors each deployment to the specific needs of its clients.
