NEC Corporation of America has appointed Raffie Beroukhim as its new Chief Experience Officer (CXO). Beroukhim has been with the company since 2011, and has spearheaded many of its Advanced Recognition Systems initiatives in the past few years. Some of his key accomplishments include the formation of the company’s Federal Government Operations office in Washington, D.C., and the launch of its Global Aviation Center of Excellence (COE).
As CXO, Beroukhim will be expected to use NEC’s technology platform to improve customer experiences and create more value for its customers. The newly created position will also place him in charge the company’s Digital Platform Business Unit in North America.
“Our successful implementation of frictionless customer journeys and digital transformation in the aviation industry is a solid launching pad for NEC Corporation of America to extend similar CX services to new markets including retail, hospitality, healthcare and financial services, and more,” said Beroukhim.
“For his proven track record of loyalty among clients and employees, and a demonstrated ability to lead and grow our business, I am proud to appoint Raffie Beroukhim to the post of Chief Experience Officer,” added NEC Corporation of America President and CEO Mark Ikeno. “Now more than ever, the world needs technology companies focusing their energies and resources on customer experiences that are prioritized in serving the ‘greater good.’”
NEC’s Advanced Recognition Systems business includes the company’s biometrics and identity portfolio, as well as the new I:Delight digital services platform. I:Delight was designed to make it easier to deliver custom consumer experiences, according to a recent Vision Paper outline written by Beroukhim.
NEC has prioritized contactless identification technology in response to COVID-19. The I:Delight platform includes a new temperature detection solution that can identify people with a fever in public spaces, while NEC Japan has unveiled a new biometric device that can help identify faces that have been covered with a mask.
