“The company said its booth would showcase its NeoFace Image data mining solution, which uses facial recognition to scan through a trove of image data for particular individuals…”
NEC Asia Pacific will participate in next week’s GovernmentWare exhibition, with an executive slated to deliver a talk.
The company will use its platform to delve into the growing importance of artificial intelligence in security applications. On the morning of September 20th, its Global Safety Division’s “Evangelist & Government Relations Leader”, Walter Lee, will present on the topic of “AI for Next Generation Cyber Defense”, a subject that will likely be of great interest to attendees as government authorities grow increasingly concerned about digital security threats.
In announcing its participation in GovWare, NEC also emphasized its focus on solutions for the Internet of Things, and, of course, its facial recognition technology, its specialty in the field of biometrics. The company said its booth would showcase its NeoFace Image data mining solution, which uses facial recognition to scan through a trove of image data for particular individuals; its mobile authentication system, based on facial recognition; and its biometric access control solution for border control, among other digital security solutions.
Part of Singapore International Cyber Week, GovWare will run from September 18th to 20th at the Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Centre. NEC will showcase its solutions from booth M13.
