MTRIX Adds Nok Nok Labs’ S3 Authentication Suite to Security Arsenal

Nok Nok Labs has become the latest biometric technology provider to see its solutions embraced by MTRIX, a German digital security consultancy.

The company’s have announced that Nok Nok’s S3 Authentication Suite has been added to MTRIX’s solutions portfolio. It’s a further indication of MTRIX’s growing enthusiasm for biometric security solutions, with the firm having embraced fingerprint sensor technology from Lumidigm way back in 2014, and from NEXT Biometrics in the autumn of 2017.

“For our customers, we are constantly on the lookout for the products on the market that optimally meet their requirements,” explained MTRIX CEO Malte Kahrs in a statement. “Nok Nok perfectly complements our product portfolio.”

The integration also reflects the growing popularity of FIDO Alliance authentication standards, with the S3 Authentication Suite being one of the most high-profile FIDO-certified solutions on the market. And of course it illustrates the rising profile of Nok Nok itself, with the news arriving on the heels of Nok Nok’s announcement this week that Japan’s largest bank had deployed the S3 Authentication Suite to authenticate its online customers.
